Full-time or heavy part-time sales associate needed

Description: We are a high-end locally-owned linen boutique, specializing in bedding, bath, tabletop, and gifts. We have a large designer business; therefore, a talent for design is necessary. You will assist designers and customers alike, to select and assemble bed and bath from our many vendors. Most bedding is special order, so a good design vision is needed. One of the other main duties aside from helping customers would be store display…from designing the window displays to new display bed ensembles to general shop vignettes.. This is a good opportunity for anyone interested in residential design to work with local designers and be involved directly in the design process, or for anyone interested in staging & display. There is a lot of opportunity for creativity and contributing to the development of the shop’s overall vision. Other duties include the usual: restocking shelves, general customer service, ringing sales on the computer, unboxing and tagging inventory, etc..


  • Retail experience preferred but not mandatory
  • We will train, but an aptitude for design is required.
  • Computer savvy (we use Quickbooks Point of Sale—we will train, but must have computer common sense).
  • Good people skills, professional, well-spoken.
  • Outgoing—we are in sales, no wall-flowers.
  • We do a lot of unpacking and receiving of inventory, must be able to lift small boxes, climb ladders, etc. This job is physical on a daily basis.
  • Our store hours are 10-5:30, part-time is noon-5, a full day is 10 – 5:30. Must be able to work some full days.
  • At least two Saturdays per month are required, we are closed on Sundays.

Hours:Roughly 30-40 hours a week. A typical shift would probably be a full day but we can be flexible for the right candidate.
